A low-tech tool in a world of technology overload!

Daily Priorities is not a planning system, but an effective tool that can enhance the planning system you already use. Daily Priorities consists of three elements

  • Daily Priorities Today Cards
  • Daily Priorities Journal
  • Pocket Pen

Why Daily Priorities?

Daily Priorities focuses you on the activities and tasks to be completed each day to allow you measured progress towards successfully achieving your goals. Daily Priorities accomplishes this by

  • Limiting tasks on your today list. Too many tasks on your today list can create anxiety overload, 'how am I going to get all this done?'. Or worse apathy! By consistently having too many tasks on your today list and only ever completing a few creates a bad habit of allowing low number of task completion. While we might not be able to consistently complete 100% of our daily tasks everyday, the average daily task completion should be a very high percentage.
  • Reducing distractions. Every time you look at your master task list, outlook, PDA, etc., you create the potential of being distracted by other tasks on your list that do not need to be addressed today.
  • Better short-term memory. Prioritizing your tasks and writing them out every day reinforces your ability to keep today's tasks in your short term memory. There is some researched on this topic and is based on a methodology called the dual task method, writing and short term memory. You can read more about this research here .
  • Portability without distractions. Always have your Today Cards and a journal with you where ever you go.
